Adam + I actually grew up in the same town, although we didn’t know each other super well since he was a few grades older than me. His older sister actually babysat for my sister + I way back when we were young enough to need a babysitter!! Needless to say, when Adam contacted me a couple of months ago about his recent engagement + how he had been following my work for a while + wanted us to take photos for him + his fiancé Kelly, I was so flattered! It’s really, really fun to reconnect with people like this + to find out that they have been following your journey! What an honor, truly! I am SO excited that we get to work with these two during this season of their lives!!

I had never met Kelly prior to our initial Skype call + then during our engagement session, but let me tell you, it’s easy to fall in love with this girl (the friendship-crush kind of love)!! She is HILARIOUS, so easy to talk to, + has a smile that goes all the way up into her eyes + then radiates outward!! She is just beautiful, + to top it off, has awesome style!! She showed up wearing the most amazing long-sleeved, floral-patterned dress + I know I did a little happy-dance-clap-thing when they came walking up! : )

Caleb + I had so much fun exploring their city (Milwaukee) with them + by the end of the session, it truly felt like we had known these two for a LOT longer than we have!! After an amazing session in which we were already feeling a “photography/creative high” from (I’m deeming that a thing), these two insisted on treating us to dinner at one of their favorites restaurants in the city! We started the meal off with candied bacon as an appetizer + let’s just say the deliciousness of our dinner only increased from there!! What a special treat : ) Thank you two SO much for a refreshing, FUN evening in Milwaukee – we cannot WAIT for your wedding next July! It can’t come quick enough!! : ) xoxo!
