When it comes to session posts on our blog, you will almost always find yourself looking at Weddings, Engagement Sessions, + Anniversary Sessions … there’s no denying that we LOVE working with couples because we LOVE marriage, we believe in it, + we consider it a true privilege to document the marriage love story for our clients at whatever stage of life they find themselves in!!

Today’s session, however, is not any of the above types of sessions … but it’s still one that celebrates love + marriage!! Mara contacted me a couple of weeks ago sharing that her + her husband of three years, Steven, are expecting their first child!! She debated for a long time whether or not she wanted to photograph this season of their lives, but in the end, knew it was something she both had to do + wanted to do!! I, personally, am SO glad they decided to because what a sweet time we had with these two, learning about their story, their marriage, + both their excitements + fears as they are transitioning into a new season of their love story!! Just two months until their little man comes into the world + I have no doubt Mara + Steven are going to make the most AMAZING parents!!

We met in downtown Milwaukee outside the Pabst Brewery (which is currently being renovated) but sits in an older part of MKE. Mara + Steven chose to do the shoot here because on their honeymoon, these two traveled throughout Europe visiting Ireland, the UK, + Italy … and they just fell in love with London! Both agree it is their favorite place on earth!! Since we couldn’t do the shoot in London, we settled for a historic part of Milwaukee that reminds the couple of their favorite place they have ever been together : ) I love it!! Steven + Mara — thank you so much for allowing us to capture this super special time in your lives. We SO cherished our time with you + cannot wait to watch your family grow in the upcoming months!!!
