We had never met Jon + Rachael prior to their engagement session … BUT once we booked them for their wedding, all of a sudden they started coming up in conversation with friends + it felt like everyone we knew knew Jon + Rachael. And couldn’t say enough good things about Jon + Rachael + about the fact that we were working together for this very special time in their lives. I’m just going to go out on a limb + say it was fate that brought them to us + us to them : )

Jon + Rachael met through a mutual friend who was determined to set them up in a relationship together (I guess he knew what he was doing because, well, they’re now getting married ; )!!! Rachael told us during the session (while Jon was off running with the girls) that while there were so many things she was attracted to about him, the biggest — by far — was his love for her three girls. I could just see the way she felt so assured + safe when she was talking about his relationship with them. Ahhhh, it’s really just SO beautiful how God works + brings GREAT joy + healing out of great loss + hardship. Redemption. Sweetness.

We had SO MUCH fun with these five during their engagement session at the farm where they will be getting married this July. Vivian came + was a HUGE hit with everyone — Rachael warned me we might not be able to take her home after the girls met her, but rest assured, she is still our dog + just friends with Addie, Taylor, + Lola ; ) After rescheduling several times due to weather, we got the PERFECT evening for the session + while the girls (+ Vivian) ran the acres + hay bales, we got to know Jon + Rachael just a little bit better. Our conversation was rich, sweet, + just SO life-giving for Caleb + I. We truly feel so thankful that God has given us the opportunity to help tell the story of what He is doing in Jon + Rachael’s life + soon-to-be-marriage!!
