I am kind of convinced that Ben + Kalli might be the two easiest people to photograph … in the history of the world. They are just SO sweet together + these moments happen where they totally forget that we are even there. They just get lost in each other + it is really, really magical to document from behind the camera (this also says something significant about their love + their connection because Ben really dislikes getting his picture taken — P.S., he’s married to a photographer! 😉 — so the fact that he can forget that there is a camera there for those moments, when he is so wrapped up in Kalli, just shows how much he adores + absolutely cherishes her. Again — it is SO special + so beautiful. I might have shed a few tears during one of those moments in the kitchen when the music was playing from the speaker right next to me + they were so focused on each other, SO in love. It MOVED me.

We feel so thankful that Ben + Kalli are not just clients but FRIENDS to us + two people who we connect with on so many levels. I shared on my Instagram when I posted a sneak peek that my favorite moment from our night together with them wasn’t in fact our time shooting (as GREAT as that was!!). Instead, it was the time after the session, when we ordered pizza, shared a couple of beers together, + chatted about our lives + our marriages. Not just chit-chat kind of stuff, but real, honest, heart-to-heart kind of stuff. It’s rare to find people like this in your life + I am so thankful that we know these two!! They just “get” us in so many ways + that is such a gift to Caleb + I!

This year, we met these two at their NEW home that they recently bought together + decided to take photos in this place that is now SO incredibly special to them!! I have to give a MAJOR shoutout to Kalli, who has poured SO much love into making this house their home — in addition to photography, this girl has a serious passion for decorating + home projects, + she has done just an incredible job creating a welcoming, cozy, + BEAUTIFUL home for them to share together AND with others (they are great hosts, too!).
