Craig and Deena never expected to meet one another when they did. She had spent the entire day at the Wisconsin State Fair with one of her friends and he was randomly visiting his cousin — they were in the same part of Milwaukee, at the same time, and decided to go to the same bar. They ended up sitting in stools right next to each other while ordering drinks and began talking … and they haven’t stopped talking since. “I met my best friend that day,” Craig told us.

A month after Craig and Deena got married, Craig was diagnosed with Stage 3 Cancer. I wish we had met these two under different circumstances, but let me tell you, I am just so glad we met them. Their love is inspiring and their positivity unbelievable. In just a short amount of time with them, we learned that while they have already weathered some extremely difficult circumstances throughout their relationship, they are thankful for the way those circumstances have intertwined their lives in such a foundational way. It is truly an honor to document a story for two people with a love that is so strong, so pure, and so inspirational. The way that Craig looks at and holds Deena will take your breath away — it’s moving and honest and so intentional.

Wish Upon a Wedding has granted Craig and Deena the wedding of their dreams that is going to happen THIS MONTH(!!!!) in downtown Milwaukee. We had the chance to meet these two for a mini-engagement session along with One Fine Day Productions last weekend and we loved our time with them. Amidst all the excitement and planning and preparations, Craig told us that, plain and simple, he can’t wait to call Deena his wife (he is the best). We are SO excited to celebrate the MARRIAGE of these two in just a few short weeks — it will no doubt be an unforgettable day <3
