I find myself getting super excited to share this monthly portrait session post with you! I am sincerely loving getting to meet and photograph so many families this summer! It is a big change of pace from shooting strictly weddings and gosh, I am enjoying it! It’s been like a breath of fresh air I didn’t really know I needed and a great challenge both creatively and sometimes quite literally working with little ones who have a mind of their own : )! I think that as we’ve now had E for just over five months, I have a new appreciation for not only what family sessions can mean to parents but also what they are “supposed” to look like. My goal is to simply capture these families as they are. No pressure for perfection because that, as all parents know, is just not realistic! And I think we’re all just craving a little more real in our lives right now.
For 2020, we are donating 10% of all portrait session sales to three local organizations working directly with those most affected by COVID-19: Blue Plate Catering’s ‘Feed the Frontlines’ Initiative, Middleton Outreach Ministry, and REAP Food Group’s ‘Farm to Families’ Fund. In July, we were able to donate $190 dollars to these three organizations thanks to these amazing families in this post who hired us for a session! Thank you, thank you, thank you. We still have a couple of open dates for August and are starting to book for September so if you are interested in a family, engagement, anniversary (etc!) session, please email us at maisonandcaleb@maisonmeredith.com!
Now without further adieu, enjoy all the ADORABLE littles in this month’s post! I sincerely hope these families bring you as much joy as they’ve brought me <3
