Joe & Lindsey | An Intimate Garden Wedding at Sanger House Gardens in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

What a truly special day this past Saturday was. By far, the aspect of Joe & Lindsey’s celebration that sticks out the most to me (and Caleb said he would 100% agree!) is the closeness of everyone involved and in attendance. Individually, both Joe & Lindsey are so close with their respective families. It was really quite unique how both of them shared such an incredibly intimate bond with both their parents and their siblings. Both families were also extremely close to one another! Everyone was nothing but joyful all day long sharing memories, laughter, hugs, helping hands, and loving words for the couple. It all culminated at the end of the celebration, when both families sat around one big table sharing a meal, stories, and toasts. Loved filled the room.

Joe & Lindsey married at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in downtown Milwaukee where again, we noticed how close the couple seemed to be with the Father who married them. He had such encouraging words to share about Joe & Lindsey and the mass felt extremely intimate and personal. Father Mike also played the organ as Lindsey walked down the aisle with her dad … a surprise for Joe & his family who’s late Grandmother loved and played the organ. Seeing his bride for the first time on their day, as the organ echoed loudly through the sanctuary, appeared to be a very powerful and emotional moment for Joe : )

Following the ceremony, Joe, Lindsey, and their guests headed to the beautiful Sanger House Gardens (just blocks from where the couple lives downtown!). Cocktail hour in the garden was just breathtaking as the sun began to set and family mingled while enjoying champagne and hors d’oeuvres. Lindsey changed into her reception dress and wowed us all once again with her beauty and class! The couple cut their cake and danced in the garden before heading to their intimate dinner. I’ll say it again, it was a truly special and quite literally perfect evening : )
