The wedding on the blog today … ahhh, where to begin? It is FILLED with moments that are beautifully emotional, touching, + will make you believe in true love–love worth waiting for. If you don’t know the story of these two, it’s definitely worth reading here. Joel + Karla are, without a doubt, destined to be husband + wife. Everyone who knows them will wholeheartedly agree + I’m hoping that you will be able to feel their connection + deep love for one another through the images from their wedding day!! 

Married at the gazebo on the downtown square (right across from Karla’s second story apartment where she would look at the place they were to be married daily in the months leading up to their wedding day), Joel + Karla’s ceremony was intimate, raw, + powerful. The pastor spoke words of commitment + blessing over these two–of God’s desire for them to flourish + grow as a husband + wife–and goodness, I swear everyone was shedding tears as they listened! These two have waited for each other, patiently, + watching them become husband + wife was a very moving experience!!! They were SO excited to be married–but it was a sweet, tearful, squeezing-each-others-hands-so-tightly kind of excitement. After they were pronounced husband + wife, the pastor said a prayer over the couple + Joel held Karla so tightly … to me, he was saying, “I will always protect you.” As they walked down the stairs of the gazebo exiting the ceremony, both couldn’t stop crying : ) It was just so beautiful!! (I know I’ve said this a lot, but I can’t find the words to describe it!! Amazing : )) 

Joel + Karla–THANK YOU for touching Caleb + I with your love + your relationship. Getting to know both of you individually + as a couple, + watching you two love each other has been such a wonderful experience for us!! We CANNOT WAIT for you to visit Madison + to see you again!!
