Matt + Marlee | Engaged | A Springtime Engagement Session in The Vilas Park Neighborhood in Madison, Wisconsin.

I’m just going to start this post by being really upfront with you guys — there are a LOT of photos in this one!!! It’s been over two months since our last engagement session + we had warm weather AND spring blooms … so I have a lot of “favorites”!! Consider yourself warned : ) : ) It was such a great night for Matt + Marlee’s session + we seriously had a blast with these two!! We’ve been waiting + waiting for their session to finally arrive + I am just so happy with the results we created together : ) I think you’ll easily be able to see the nature of their personalities through these photos — genuine joy, excitement, kindness, + beauty.

In our short time knowing Matt + Marlee, we’ve found that we can really relate to them in so many ways — one specifically being the fact that they have been long distance their entire relationship!! This is SO hard at times but also provides a great foundation for years + years of good communication down the road : ) And just makes you so thankful for time together when you DO finally get to be together!! Marlee is just about to finish up PT School + after residency, will move to the same city as Matt in time to get married in December!! Hooray! We are so excited for them : )

Two years of dating + an unexpected proposal at the apple orchard have brought these two to the season of life they are in + we feel truly so grateful to walk alongside them in this time. While shooting, Caleb + I kept saying to each other — “Gosh, their joy! I love how they make each other laugh. They are always smiling + giggling!” — things like that, constantly, because it was SO amazing to witness : ) OKAY, let’s get to the pictures, shall we?! Remember what I told you … ; ) Enjoy!
