Aleksandar & Sasha | A Sunrise Engagement Session on The Wisconsin River & Wollersheim Winery.

I cannot believe I am FINALLY BLOGGING Aleksandar & Sasha’s engagement photos! This session was supposed to happen last year … TWICE … and obviously never did. We got rained out both times and rescheduling a third wasn’t really possible because it was November and we all agreed that a sunrise session in early winter was simply going to be too cold! After our time together last week, I can safely say that everyone was SO happy we waited because we had an absolutely beautiful morning. It was 70º and sunny with the a light breeze. You really can’t ask for anything better : )

Aleksandar and Sasha drove up from Chicago for their session and we met in Sauk City to get some photos along the Wisconsin River. This was my first time shooting at this location and I am so happy with the results! The beach was gorgeous at sunrise … and so peaceful, too : ) I instantly felt connected with Aleksandar and Sasha … they are so easy to talk to and incredibly thoughtful. Just a few minutes into meeting for the first time, Sasha was asking all about Indie and it made me feel so seen and loved : ) Aleksandar is HILARIOUS … and also such a kind-hearted gentleman. He would anticipate and notice anything Sasha might be needing throughout the session, like help with buckling her heels or brushing the hair out of her face. He also insisted on carrying my stepstool from spot to spot and was just so sweet about it! They are truly such an incredibly match, laughing 24/7 and complimenting one another’s personality traits and giftings : )

We finished the session at Wollersheim Winery where these two looked amazing in their black outfits against the greenery and grape vines. We discussed our mutual love for country music, days on the lake and the very best … the Green Bay Packers (even though they live in Chicago – heck yeah!!). It was the very best way to start my day and I am so thankful for my time with them. Aleksandar & Sasha, we cannot WAIT for your wedding in August!!!
