Oh, where do I even begin with the cutest, most fun, and most wildly vibrant couple of all time?!? I had a BLAST with Hugh & Zoe at their engagement session last week, and cannot wait to share some favorites from our time together but also, be given the opportunity to document and share their marriage celebration next year at The Madison Club with Elevate Events! These two LIGHT up our world and everyone around them.

To begin our time together, I met Hugh and Zoe outside the Wisconsin State Capitol, where they “officially” became husband and wife this past April. In a special nod to their significant day, they wore the same outfits they were married in : ) I learned that Hugh & Zoe met during their undergrad at UW-Madison, specifically during call-backs for one of the University’s only co-ed acapella groups on campus. Being a UW grad myself, I am very familiar with this outstanding group and attended several concerts while I was a student.

At engagement sessions with clients, I always like to play music while we are taking pictures. Going into Hugh and Zoe’s session, I didn’t realize that I would get my own personal acapella concert that rivaled anything I went to back in the day … harmonies, dancing, and laughter all included : ) We had so, so much fun!

For the second part of their session, we headed to Appleberry Farm in Cross Plains for some apple-picking and picture-taking : ) Appleberry is a special place to Hugh & Zoe, somewhere they head to (at least) once per year to walk the gorgeous property, get apple cider donuts, and embrace Wisconsin’s beautiful fall season. Oh, and to pick apples for Zoe’s annual birthday pie (made by Hugh!), of course! I had never been to Appleberry Farm but will certainly be back! It was magical.
