The way he looks at her + interacts with her … you cannot NOT notice it. It is so sweet + gentle, so honest, so assuring. I noticed this about that way Greg interacts with Christina from the moment we first met them for dinner on State Street downtown. We were just getting to know them, then, but I remember thinking — wow, that guy LOVES that girl. I knew, just by his actions, that he would do ANYTHING for her … and at the drop of a hat at that. Out of love + because he genuinely wants to serve her with all that he is.
During their engagement session, I noticed it again. And of course, on the wedding day after saying “I choose you forever” + becoming husband + wife, I noticed it, again : ) A constant reminder to Christina that he is there, he is near, he is ready to help + to serve + to make sure she is taken care of. Truly so inspiring to be around + makes me want to not only serve + love Caleb in such a radical, generous way … but also others around me! To not hold back but to give gigantically + without expectation of something in return. I said it already, but I’ll say it again … to be RADICAL with love.
Spending such a special + life-changing day with Greg + Christina made me realize how truly unique + wonderful of people these two are (more so than I already knew)! In the morning before the ceremony, I got to witness Christina gift her bridesmaids with special gifts as a way to say “thank you” for their love + support in her life leading up to such a big moment. Each gift was SO thoughtful + I’m not kidding when I say that each girl FREAKED OUT over how special + perfect their gift was for them! Their reactions were almost too good to be true — but just showed how giving + generous of a person Christina is.
At the reception (you guys KNOW how much I LOVE the speeches) — but the speeches! They were funny, yes, but mostly so genuine + heartfelt … it was as if each sibling + friend + parent wanted to take the opportunity to proclaim to those in the room how incredible of people Greg + Christina truly are. How generous, how kind, fully of integrity, Godly role models, loyal, sincere … the list goes on. I mean, the room was PACKED to capacity with people who love these two + EXCITEDLY support their decision to serve God + the world together through their marriage.
We support them, too! Wholeheartedly : ) Greg & Christina, we cannot wait to see how God uses your marriage + your unique giftings to bring others into His love + fullness of life!! Thank you for sharing your day with us + for allowing us to experience marriage through your beautiful lens : ) Enjoy some of our favorites from the day!!! XOXO <3
I LOVE Christina’s traditional gown for the tea ceremony! Isn’t it beautiful?!
These gold bracelets belonged to Christina’s mother, who got them from her mother-in-law on her own wedding day!! During the traditional Chinese tea ceremony (you will see soon!), Christina’s parents gave these bracelets to Christina : )
Yessssssss! : )
The tea ceremony takes place as a time for the soon-to-be-married couple to pause + honor their parents + elder family members. First, the couple kneels in front of each couple as a sign of respect, then, they serve both the husband + wife their own cup of tea that they have prepared especially for the day …
…. after giving the tea, the elder couple then gives the (soon-to-be) newlyweds a special gift for their wedding, along with some words of wisdom regarding their marriage + future life together!
After the tea ceremony, Christina changed into her wedding dress for the wedding ceremony!!
I LOVE this : )!
Greg+ Christina love to cook together, so their reception table centerpieces were inspired by FOOD instead of flowers!!! I have truly never seen anything like it!! So, so cool!! These are just a FEW of the tables!
I just love this time of day <3
Two favorites : )
Christina’s parents have a tradition that has been in the family for many years now. To sum it up, they have a wooden table top that they bring out when they have 10+ people at their house for dinner (these people love to host BIG dinners!) + the tradition is that if it’s your first time eating at the table, you sign it + leave a note for the couple. For their wedding, Christina’s parents had a similar table top made for Greg + Christina for their home, made by one of the groomsmen himself : )
The woman who made all the centerpieces!!! She is amazing!!
A huge thank you to Greg + Christina’s wedding day vendors!!
