Vik + Mandy | Engaged | A Modern Winter Engagement Session at The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art + State Capitol in Madison, Wisconsin.

We couldn’t WAIT to see them. In the car on the way to the engagement session, Caleb + I were seriously giddy about getting to spend the afternoon with these two! We first met them over drinks at a local brewery in town + then again at our Christmas party (they came before they even worked with us!!), + we’ve been hooked on their personalities ever since. Maybe it’s the way Mandy is SO good at communicating + expressing herself (especially her joy + excitement!!), that you can’t help running + jumping on her good vibes bandwagon. Or the way Vik will knock you over laughing with his little one-liner jokes, + then make your heart melt with his sweet personality that shines through above everything else. They are a really authentic, really engaging, + really FUN couple to be around. And we feel SO lucky that we get to be the ones capturing this super exciting season for them : )

I couldn’t believe that the day of their engagement session brought us SIXTY degree weather in the middle of February (!!!) + sunshine to boot!! We strolled through downtown Madison together (or should I say laughed our way through!?), starting at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art + ending at the State Capitol where Vik had previously proposed to Mandy with the most epic surprise proposal you will ever hear! It involved the planning of a fake trip with fake itineraries + tickets, drinks + brunch downtown, a proposal at the Capitol, spa treatments, + a night at one of Madison’s most luxurious hotels. This girl is spoiled!! That man just loves her : )
