The session on the blog today is, hands down, the craziest engagement session we have ever done!! And no, the couple is not crazy (ha!) — we had the most bizarre weather I have ever experienced during a session! When we met Cody + Andrea on the Riverwalk by the Mississippi in downtown La Crosse, Wisconsin, it was hot + partly sunny. By the end of the session, we had a STORM on our hands + I’m so excited to share these photos because Cody + Andrea wanted to keep shooting as the storm rolled in … which made for some pretty amazing photos that you’ll see at the end of the post!!

I have been looking forward to this session ever since our initial Skype call with these two! Cody + Andrea have to be some of the nicest people we have ever worked with, + this is something we caught on to right away when we first met them. We have several connections with these two (mutual friends + past brides), + talking with them felt like we had been friends for a long time : ) They just EXUDE God’s love + joy, + being in their presence is really, REALLY life-giving!!

You can only tell so much from a Skype call, however. I knew going into their session that it would be really natural + that we would have a lot of fun together, but I didn’t know TRULY just how MUCH these two admire + cherish each other until we got to witness them together. They are HEAD over HEELS for each other. They are FULL of compliments for the other + so encouraging + loving towards one another. They LOVE to laugh + have fun together. They seek adventure + thrill + making the MOST out of the time they’re given together — both the big + little moments. I hope you will be able to see this in their photos!

Cody + Andrea, we LOVED our time with the two of you + cannot wait to witness the two of you become husband + wife next July! It’ll be here before you know it! Enjoy some of our favorites from your session + thank you for bringing so much joy to those around you with the way you love one another! It is inspiring + hope-filled : ) Love you two!
