We are down to the LAST weddings of our busy season this year + I can hardly believe it!! We’re trying to soak up every last minute + not take a moment from granted (because as crazy as we are right now, I know that my busy-body tendencies are going to be restless again before I know it!!). Today’s love story is about as sweet as they come — two high school sweethearts (who’s parents are BOTH high school sweethearts) officially become husband + wife after almost NINE years together!! That is a LONG time!! I think the overwhelming emotion Dylan felt as his best friends + then BRIDE made their way down the aisle speaks for itself + the love these two share : )
It was a perfect, crisp fall day in Wausau + you honestly couldn’t ask for better weather this time of the year! You NEVER know what Wisconsin is going to throw you in October + we had sunshine + minimal wind!! Everyone was SO happy : ) St. Michael’s Catholic Church was packed with friends + family for the ceremony, + The Rothschild Pavilion was just the same for the reception! Hundreds + hundred + hundreds of people gathered to celebrate this beautiful couple!!
During the ceremony, the priest pointed out how Dylan is a firefighter + Lindsey a nurse — both careers that are selfless + sacrificial in nature. What an amazing gift these two are to the individuals they work with + knowing this about them opens a big window into the lives + hearts of Dylan + Lindsey. Down to earth, welcoming, others-centered, + just so thankful for all they’ve been given!! It really exudes from the two of them : ) Since Dylan is a firefighter, we also had a unique opportunity during the day to take photos with a firetruck! A crew from Dylan’s station showed up with not one but FOUR trucks for us to choose from + it was just so special to see the camaraderie of these guys around Dylan! It’s also neat to think about how in 50 years, when Dylan + Lindsey look back at these photos, they will get to see how vehicles have changed yet again, comparing the trucks “back then” to what they look like at that time! : )
Anyways, enjoy this day + some of our favorite images from it! : ) XOXO!

I just love Caleb’s angle of this shot!! So sweet : )
Dylan is a firefighter, so the couple wanted to do photos with a firetruck — something different + special + unique to them!!
A favorite : )!!
I LOVE this fireplace at Rothschild Pavilion!!
