Harold & Lorraine | A 58th Wedding Anniversary Session at Home in Irma, Wisconsin.

Anniversary

When Harold + Lorraine’s granddaughter first emailed me about her family wanting to purchase a session for these two for their 58th Wedding Anniversary, she attached a photo of them to the email with a little note that said, “P.S. How adorable are they!?!” It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with Harold + Lorraine Mustard … and I hadn’t even met them yet!!

When Caleb + I arrived to their home on Tug Lake a couple of weeks ago for their session, we were thankful for a romantic overcast evening + gorgeous fall colors! Though at first nervous (as ALL couples are!!), Harold + Lorraine quickly opened up to us + the session, + oh my goodness, you guys, a truly magical experience unfolded that left all four of us on the dock with tears in our eyes as we talked about marriage, triumph, commitment + hard work. It was SO beautiful. During the session, Caleb quickly whispered in my ear, “Just watch how he looks at her” … and today I’m whispering the same to you : )

These two met at a dance 59 years ago (Harold thought Lorraine was SO good-looking!) + they were married just one year later : ) They have four daughters, one son, 15 grandchildren, + two-great-grandchildren! Most of their favorite memories together include traveling. For their 25th Anniversary, Harold took Lorraine to Germany, where he was stationed for two years as a sergeant + drove tanks for the army. They told us that their “secrets” for a last marriage include patience + talking through things — “don’t let anything fester … if you’re upset, talk about it right away.” : ) Enjoy some of our favorites from this 58th Wedding Anniversary Session — Caleb, gosh, I hope that we will laugh + dance + kiss like this if we are lucky enough to have 58 years on earth here together!! Happy Tuesday : )

The photo on the right is from Harold + Lorraine’s 50th Wedding Anniversary party … when they got back into the SAME outfits they wore on their wedding day!! Just AMAZING!!

A photo of Harold + Lorraine + their five children from just a couple of years ago ; ) I love this! Lorraine hasn’t changed a bit in my opinion!!
