Ever since we started our business, a DREAM of mine has been to shoot a proposal. What an amazing moment to capture for someone and what a THRILL!! This past weekend, we shot our first proposal and let me tell you, not only was it the first but it was absolutely EPIC!! I know I’m using a lot of capital letters in this paragraph but I am just so excited and the topic warrants it! ; )

Patrick contacted me a couple of weeks ago and said that he wanted us to capture his proposal to his (at the time) girlfriend, Caroline! He then proceeded to tell us how he somehow convinced the Wisconsin State Capitol to open the famous Observation Deck for his proposal and he wanted us to capture the moment secretly from the balcony of his friend’s apartment! This task required some research, planning, and the renting of one intense camera lens (Caleb was in heaven!).

For the entire week leading up to the proposal and on the morning of the proposal, the weather predicted a 100% chance of rain. However, literally minutes before the scheduled time, the rain let up and Patrick was able to have the amazing moment he planned for Caroline rain-free! These two are actually leaving for a vacation to Napa tomorrow and Patrick was convinced that Caroline thought he was proposing then. Well, he was right and caught her completely (but SOOOO happily) off guard on Saturday when he proposed at the Capitol. The two had the entire observation deck to themselves and everything turned out PERFECTLY : ) I am honored to say that we were the FIRST phone call they made after she said “yes” … but only because we wanted to pose a couple of shots at the end and had to direct over the phone from the balcony ; )

What an incredible experience and the BIGGEST congratulations to Patrick and Caroline!! We love you guys and are SO EXCITED for you!!!!! To the future Klas’!
