Laura has been following our work since the very FIRST wedding we EVER shot. That’s a loooong time and gosh, she has watched our business change and evolve so much over the last 5+ years!! Getting the opportunity to photograph her upcoming wedding day is truly, truly, TRULY such an honor and makes me feel so many emotions!! I’m just so grateful for this journey and for the people who have been encouraging and supporting us since day one!!!!
Laura and Ryan have been together for seven years … !!! That’s just amazing and so, so beautiful : ) They met during their undergrad at The University of Wisconsin-Madison through a mutual friend. You could say that Ryan had “a thing” for Laura right from the get-go, however, Laura doesn’t really remember even talking that first time they met ; ) Ryan — you got her!!! I just love it : ) What began as a friendship seven years ago is now such a beautiful partnership and we couldn’t be more excited for these two to become husband and wife next summer!!
Currently, Laura and Ryan live in DC where she works in Education Policy and he is a reporter at The Capitol (yes, they are soooooo cool!!!!). To propose to Laura, Ryan told her that they had to go visit her favorite botanical garden in DC because it was going to close soon for renovations (thank goodness for renovations!!!). In a beautiful, quiet spot tucked away in the garden, both of their lives changed forever when she said, “YES” : )
Laura and Ryan are such a power couple — currently working their crazy-awesome jobs while planning a wedding! They are so incredibly supportive of one another and I really admire the way they respect and love each other. I also totally adore how playful and goofy they are together : ) Until we get to celebrate these two again next year at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art and the Orpheum Theater, we will simply have to enjoy their engagement photos : )!!! Happy Tuesday!!
