Now that our sabbatical is over, I’m so excited to continue sharing what we were up to last month! It was so tempting to blog these photos earlier but I told myself to just wait and really enjoy/embrace our time off of social media and blogging.

As soon as you see these photos though, you will understand my anticipation in sharing this post! We got to capture some beautiful families (and a few super adorable kiddos!) at our winter mini sessions at Jensen Tree Farm in December! In the days leading up to the scheduled session date, we were very concerned we were going to have to cancel the sessions! The forecast was predicting freezing rain and we all know that no one wants to get there photo taken in sleet! The morning of the sessions, the weather cleared up and we decided to go for it. I’m SO happy we did! It ended up being clear for half the sessions and then lightly snowing for the other half! It was truly perfect shooting conditions for a wintry session : )

I love the opportunity to meet so many new families and couples during the few mini sessions we offer each year. While we definitely always have past clients as well, it is a great time for new ones to get in front of our camera! The 20 minute session time is just right for the little ones!

This year, we are hoping to offer three mini session days — one in late spring/early summer, one in the fall and another in December, just in time for Christmas cards!
