And just like that, it’s our last mini sessions of the year! I am so excited to share these because they are truly just all so *magical* and adorable!! Leading up to the mini session day, we were really nervous about the weather. It was during that window when Wisconsin was deciding whether or not it was ready to snow … or wanted to continue to give us the rain we had been having all fall! The entire week prior, it was looking like our forecast for mini sessions was major wind and a rain/snow mix. Yikes!! But alas, the day before, the only thing predicted was snow and we actually had all our fingers and toes crossed that it would snow during the sessions! It is just SO pretty in photos and I think you’ll see what I’m talking about soon!

For the past couple of years, we have done our winter / Christmas mini sessions at Jensen Tree Farm in Verona! We love this spot so much, but decided we wanted to do something new this year — for both our clients and ourselves! We decided that the Capitol Building would be a completely different look for those who wanted a more city / modern vibe for their winter and Christmas Card photos … and it was also something creatively fresh and new for us! The Capitol is extra beautiful around the holidays, when they put up all the garland and wreaths!

To add a little more greenery to photos in a city setting, we brought along a wreath from the incredibly talented Floret & Pine … I just really want to put this local small business on your radar for next year! F&P donates 22% of all wreath sales to Stop Soldier Suicide and their hearts are amazing (in addition to the ridiculously beautiful wreaths that also smell sooooo good!). You should definitely check them out : )
