Max & Cait are GETTING MARRIED!! It feels like we have known these two for years but really, it’s just that Max has been a groomsmen in about 100 weddings we’ve photographed. Obviously I am exaggerating just a bit, but he is a popular guy with lots of really awesome friends : )

A few years ago, Max & Cait went on their first date. They got coffee and apparently, Cait didn’t stop talking. Word on the street is that not much has changed : ) I wish you could just spend time with these two and know how perfect they are together. They bring out the BEST in one another and they SHINE when they are together. Being in their presence at their session was honestly kind of intoxicating. They are hooked on one another, equally getting lost in these romantic moments together and also, making fun of one another and sharing laughs on laughs … on laughs : )

But back to their story! A first date led to a second date in which Max was over an hour late because of horrific traffic. He kept Snapchatting Cait to prove to her that he was, indeed, stuck in traffic and not ghosting her!! Too funny. All (obviously!) ended well and they spent that December evening looking at Christmas lights. The evening turned into a whole weekend together and, one month later, Max asked Cait to be his girlfriend in -10º weather at … The Retzer Nature Center! Needless to say, it was the perfect place to do their engagement session!

We are so, SO excited for these two to become husband and wife. Max and Cait have been through a LOT in the last year and I sincerely admire the way they have shown up for one another through it all. They are a true team and each other’s biggest fan / support / love of life. Again, I am reminded of the great weight and reward this job offers as I document moments and stories that mean so much to the people we work with (and beyond them, too). Love you, M&C!!! Can’t wait for next year : )
