The first engagement session of the 2023 season is HERE! Ahhhh, I am soooooo happy and grateful to be starting this new season, to be shooting more regularly, and to get to see our clients in PERSON for their sessions/wedding days. It feels SO good. I don’t know why … well actually, I know it has something to do with the demands of parenthood and our transition to two kiddos, ha! … but I am feeling the biggest renewed sense of focus and purpose and JOY in this incredible “job” of mine as we start this year’s wedding season off : )

Unlike most of our wedding clients, this is actually the second time I’ve gotten to photograph Alex & Jacquelyn! They did a session with me FIVE years ago(!) and my goodness has a lot changed for both of us since then! It was SO great to see these two and get to photograph them in the city they currently call home … beautiful Chicago!! I love photographing in this city as it is, but put these two in front of my camera and then put us all in Chicago and I am about as happy as a photographer can get : ) These two are gorgeous together, so much fun to be around, and incredibly comfortable and playful with one another. Needless to say, this combination makes my job very easy : ) I am so excited to share their photos with you!

Six years ago Alex & Jacquelyn were introduced while completing their undergrad at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and despite both being in a place where they *thought* they weren’t looking for a relationship, something just kept pulling them back to one another ; ) They are such great compliments, truly the “yin” to the other’s “yang,” and I am so happy for them that they found one another and have decided on forever, together : ) Cheers to you, Alex & Jacquelyn!!!!!!!!!
