Stephen & Abby | A Classic Black-Tie Wedding Celebration at The Madison Club.

Let the 2025 wedding season begin! I couldn’t be more thrilled to have begun our 13th wedding season with one of the most beautiful couples (inside AND out) that we have had the privilege of working with. I feel so lucky that Stephen & Abby chose us to preserve this season of their story, and to have witnessed the beauty of their love so up close and personal. They are kind-hearted, generous, down-to-earth, engaging and gracious … just to name a few of their notable qualities.

Stephen & Abby chose The Madison Club in downtown Madison to host their wedding celebration. It was the perfect setting for them — classic and charming, while also fun-loving and bright : ) It was a lovely spring Wisconsin day to welcome their guests, both local and from the West Coast. Everything went off without a hitch, and we kept commenting all day long how truly “perfect” the day turned out to be, in every single way!

Right before their first look, I asked Abby if she thought Stephen would be emotional upon seeing her for the first time. She responded that she didn’t think he would cry, as she had only seen him cry two times since they began dating years ago, and both times were over the passing of a dog (i.e., the movie Marley and Me). Later on in the day, I found out that Stephen had made an earlier comment to his mom about hoping Abby wouldn’t be upset if he didn’t cry, because he wasn’t sure he would since he was just so happy and excited to marry her!

All parties involved in this crying conversation could not have been more wrong : ) BOTH Abby and Stephen were in tears all … day … long. It was truly beautiful to witness this tangible representation of their deep love for one another, and of the gratitude they felt for the life they’ve been given and for those they get to share it with.

I am honored to get to share these photos with not only Stephen, Abby, and their families, but with all who stumble across this post! May the pure love these two share remind us of the goodness that exists in the world, and of the sincere power that love has to bring hope, to heal, to spread joy, and to truly move mountains.
