Alec and Abby are one of those rare, “love at first sight” kind of stories. Both teachers in the Madison School District, they first met at a lakeside work gathering on a beautiful summer evening. Alec initiated conversation and, well, the rest is history. After spending just a couple of hours with them, it couldn’t be more obvious that these two are truly meant to be. They complement one another so well, bring out the best in each other, and both look at the other with this kind of admiration, respect, and giddiness that makes their love feel tangible. I am the luckiest to not only witness, but help preserve, this kind of love story for generations to come.
To begin our time together, I met Alec and Abby on Williamson Street, where they spent a lot of time together when they first began dating. It was a *perfect* late fall afternoon, with sunny skies and abnormally warm weather for this time of year in Wisconsin. We walked, talked, and snapped some photos of them along the way! Abby has the most bubbly and vibrant personality, and didn’t stop smiling the entire session! Alec is quieter, intentional in both actions and words, and so beautifully tender with Abby. It was such a joy to be in their presence!
We ended the afternoon at Tenney Park, where we admired the fall color and a turtle basking in the sun by the water : ) Though they are both from the East Coast, I learned that Madison now feels like “home,” and they can’t imagine being anywhere else but here, together. We are SO EXCITED and grateful to get to capture their wedding celebration at Garver Feed Mill this coming summer! But until then, please enjoy some of my favorites from their engagement session!
