We almost couldn’t believe it, but what a gorgeous night we had this past weekend for Brady & Julia’s engagement session! With temperatures near 80º in October, we certainly soaked it in — reveling at the beauty of the fall color and how the water in the bay seemed to be alive as the wind danced across the surface and the reeds swayed in the breeze. I couldn’t stop commenting on how ‘at peace’ I felt being with Brady & Julia in one of their happiest places on earth.
Brady and Julia met nearly five years ago, when Julia and her mom went to bring coffee to Julia’s dad who happened to be working on the same job site as Brady. The two saw each other and there was an instant curiosity about, and connection to, the other. Before Brady & Julia knew it, a first date was in place and, well, the rest is history : ) They now live together in a cottage in Green Bay, and are planning their wedding for this New Year’s Eve!
When I first pulled into the spot where we planned to do engagement photos, I couldn’t help but feel like I was in the setting for a romantic movie. The property these two live on is SO beautiful. I knew ahead of time that Julia is an avid reader, and that Brady had to pull her away from her book to propose to her on the dock on the property — both of which only added to my vision of feeling like I was in a movie! After only a few minutes with these two, their mutual affection and adoration sealed the deal that this pair is truly something special; like a movie, but it’s real life : ) We had the best evening together, and I cannot wait to share their photos with you today!
