To begin this most wonderful wedding post, I have to quick share the story of how I first met Laura + Brendon, our lovely couple : ) One of Laura’s co-workers is an acquaintance of mine from college + actually got Laura + Brendon an engagement session with me for their engagement present!! Nice gift, right?!?! Hence, I met L + B at the terrace last August for their engagement session + little did I know, they would end up booking me to shoot their wedding because we just had such a great time together!! Our relationship was fate : )
Fast forward to this past week … it rained literally every single day. It was absolutely gloomy, cold, + depressing for seven days straight. Of course, I was checking the weather compulsively for Saturday’s forecast—and it wasn’t supposed to rain!! Thank goodness the weatherman was right! We had partly cloudy skies + temperatures in the 60s. Let’s just say, everyone was in great spirits : ) The day could not have been more perfect for a spring wedding here in Wisconsin.
The ceremony took place at a beautiful Catholic church in Middleton, WI, that was lined from floor to ceiling with the most gorgeous stained glass windows. The bridal party, with their blue + orange tones, fit right in with the colors of the church!! After the ceremony, we headed to a small town nearby to take some shots at a cool old building downtown + then at a park that had a lookout point spanning the rolling hills of the countryside : ) We ended the night at a hotel on Madison’s west side, where delicious cake + dancing ensued : )
Laura + Brendon, we LOVED spending the day with you guys–THANK YOU for choosing us to be such a special part of your celebration!! We wish you the best in your marriage + life together from here on out!! Many, many blessings, you two!!!! -M+C

Caleb got this shot of the stained glass reflected in the water basin at the front of the church. Amazing!!

When Caleb + I were reflecting on the day, we both commented on how the demeanor of both Brendon + Laura completely changed following the ceremony–from TOTALLY nervous beforehand to EXUDING joy + happiness afterwards; it was pretty precious : )

Ooooh I just LOVE this, Laura!!!

There may have been lots of tears immediately following this moment : ) They blamed me for it!! Haha!

Daddy daughter <3

There’s that joy I was talking about!!!

One of my favorites : )

Aaaaand, this is how the bridal party traveled … in style ; )

What a good-looking group!!

Some favorites both above + below!!!

Laura made the cake topper herself : )

… and they danced the night away : )

Wow!!! Those turned out soo good! What great photography. I had such a good time, clearly because I’m smiling my butt off in all the pictures! Congrats Laura and Brendon.
Wonderful job on the photos, wow they’re so amazing! All of the emotion and excitement was captured and brought me back to that awesome Saturday afternoon. 🙂 Congratulations Laura and Brendon on a beautiful ceremony, an outrageously fun reception, and the start of a wonderful life together as Mr. and Mrs. Leary!
