We’ve had the privilege of shooting at several different venues in here in Madison, Wisconsin over the past three wedding seasons, but today, we’re sharing our Top 3 FAVORITES! It was actually pretty easy for us to choose these three venues — The Madison Club, Sugarland Barn, & The Overture Center — as they all hold such unique and beautiful characteristics that are absolutely irresistible from a photographer’s standpoint!
So without further adieu, here is why we LOVE these venues:
There are SO many reasons we love this exquisite Madison Venue. It might just be our favorite! The first is that it is filled with gorgeous rooms that all look SO different! Below you will see just a sampling of the variety that can be found within the walls of the Madison Club. Although different, each room still holds timeless and elegant charm that only help to enhance the photographs!
From the various colored walls to the crown molding and light fixtures, we simply couldn’t be more smitten with this venue!
And to top it all off, not only is the inside of the Madison Club extraordinary, but the outside brick architecture is adorned with flowers and lush foliage in-season, which is a wonderful touch for the downtown venue! Additionally, the Madison Club is just a two-minute walk from the State Capitol and downtown square!
While Wisconsin is filled with many lovely barn venues, Sugarland Barn in Mazomanie is our favorite … hands down. The property in and of itself is naturally gorgeous with its famous draping oak tree, garden fountain, and fields, but the plantation-style farmhouse and barn also on the property really take it to the next level. There are endless opportunities for gorgeous photos, great parking for guests, and lots of spaces to explore while visiting!
The two gigantic porches (both lower and upper level) on the farm house provide incredible space for wedding photos … ESPECIALLY if you have a rainy wedding day! Do you see the drops coming down in the photo below? Unless I pointed it out, you might have never known it was raining on this wedding day! Thank goodness for that porch! : )
The barn has great bones and can be transformed into whatever type of space you are dreaming of for your day!
We love the Overture Center for its modern, clean, and sophisticated setting. In the heart of downtown Madison, its floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall windows create a space that is any photographer’s dream! Couples can rent out several floors of the building, which all open into one big atrium and create a lofty, bright and luxurious event space.
The third floor ceremony space gives guests incredible views of the State Capitol, but there isn’t a bad view in the entire space!
The outside of the building provides the same sleek backdrop!
