The wedding day you are about to witness on the blog today is 10 years in the making. Note passing in class … group hangout nights at the bowling alley … a teenage girl who was just dying to date the 16-year-old boy who had just gotten his license + a brand new truck : ) SO many — a countless amount — of moments brought these two to their wedding day + witnessing it first hand, I can tell you that it was an emotional day. Tears from both the bride + the groom were present all throughout the day, as well as their close family members + dearest friends … no one could hold them back! Everyone important in Andy + Alexanna’s lives had been waiting … and waiting … and waiting for this day to come : )

It was another hot but beautiful summer day + oh my GOODNESS, you guys, Alexanna (+ her mom, too!) put SO much thought + work into making this day the stunning event that it was!! These two thought of EVERY last detail + created a day that was both country/rustic + elevated/classy — yes, it’s completely possible!!! Nods to the many facets of Alexanna’s upbringing + personality : ) An exquisite + breath-taking day that still had a hometown, high-school-sweetheart feel : ) It was absolutely perfect + I am SO excited to share it with you!!

To Andy + Alexanna — getting to be a PART of your day was such a blessing to Caleb + I. There were SO many moments that allowed us to see just a little bit further, + then further still, into the love the two of you have for one another. Love that is DEEP, love that withstands adversity, love that makes each of you giddy with smiles like a little kid (yes, even you Andy!), love that radiates, encourages, + makes each of you a better person. And those are just SOME of the FEW things we have experienced of your love. To imagine the depths — and where it will GO — is quite incredible to think about : ) Still looking forward to our drink date at Wheelhouse (this coming winter?!) + seeing the two of you embark on the crazy-beautiful journey that marriage is : ) SO much love to you guys!!!

Alexanna wore a (STUNNING) Lazaro Gown + had a sketch of her dress signed by him as a keepsake from her day! How AMAZING is that?!

Andy + Alexanna chose to have Andy’s grandparents as their Best Man + Maid of Honor … it was SUCH a special part of their day : )

Okay, get ready for some SERIOUS inspiration for barn weddings!! Alexanna + her mom collected things for a year + a half in order to decorate the barn to this extent … AND it took them an entire week to put everything up!! This barn was EMPTY —nothing on the walls or anywhere!! — when they got started on it!! Pretty amazing : )
