Phillip and Kristin have been together for (ALMOST) a decade and on Saturday they became husband and wife. It was such a joyful day — filled with family and friends who have been walking alongside them for these past ten years and cheering them on every step of the way.

Every story told was of how these two have been through so much together and, as of recently (like the past several years recently), they have been long distance pursuing their individual career goals. Despite the distance, however, their family and friends unanimously shared that the thing they admire most about these two is how they managed to keep their relationship the number one priority in their lives. Pursuing one another from afar is no easy feat, but they have done it with faith, patience, creativity, and incredible devotion.

With Kristin finally graduating from med school a couple of weekends ago, their long distance will now end and I know that is something they are VERY excited about. Their reception at The Legend at Bergamont was just one huge celebration of these two finally being together — I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen so much love and support for a couple. These two are ADORED (and deeply respected) by those who know them and gosh, it is just such an honor to help them document this life-changing day in their already ten-year-in-the-making love story.

My favorite moment from the day was during the ceremony when both Phillip and Kristin’s parents prayed with them after communion. These two come from strong and beautiful examples of marriage and it was absolutely amazing to see those examples praying with them and for them moments before they officially became husband and wife : )

It started raining right when Phillip and Kristin were scheduled to have their first look and so I asked each of them separately if they wanted to wait for the rain to stop. They BOTH excitedly said, “No way! I just really want to see him/her right now : )!!”
