Andy & Katie | A Timeless Wedding Ceremony at St. John’s Military Academy & Reception at The Legend at Brandybook in Wales, Wisconsin.

Where to begin with a couple that we truly love and have so much respect for? Andy and Katie are one of those couples that you just look at and think, “WOW.” They are breathtaking to look at (YES, it’s obvious!!) but the more you get to know them, you QUICKLY uncover that these two have hearts of gold that radiate 1,000,000 times brighter than just how good-looking they are ; )

We had been looking forward to their day for SO long as we knew it would be gorgeous and every detail perfectly thought out and styled (Katie, you are a rock star!). We knew that these two were coming from amazing families and would have just as amazing friends. The thing we were looking MOST forward to, however, was watching these two finally become husband and wife : ) The love that they share is truly incredible. It is full of respect, it is tender and mature, it is KIND, it is selfless and sacrificial … and this is just the beginning. Andy and Katie are such an inspiring couple and we feel so, SO grateful to have met them and learned from them — just by simply observing their love — in the short time we have known them!! We know that their love and their story has not only impacted us but so many others, and will continue to impact everyone they meet.

Saturday was a perfect day — no storms as predicted (!!!) and the sun peeked out throughout the entire afternoon. The ceremony at St. John’s was absolutely beautiful and so heartfelt. Andy has known the pastor that married these two his whole life and so the message to the couple was incredibly special and personal. He spoke with such love and admiration for Andy as a man of God, an athlete, a businessman, and a soon-to-be husband. Throughout the ceremony I watched from behind my camera as Katie would glance over lovingly at Andy as these words were spoken. It was a beautiful celebration to witness and document.

At the reception, specifically remember Katie’s dad’s speech. He is a great storyteller and you could tell that he put so much time and intentional thought into the words he wanted to say to his daughter and now son-in-law. The love this man has for his daughter is extremely special and as we all tried to hold back our tears during his speech (it was impossible might I add!!) I could only imagine how honored Andy felt to be marrying Katie and how grateful he was for her dad’s words of admiration and respect for Andy. It was one of the moments where I thought to myself, “My gosh, I cannot believe I get to EXPERIENCE this right now” as there was so much love exchanged and these families invited us into that. Just amazing.

SO, without further adieu, enjoy my favorites from Andy and Katie’s day — I’m already warning you, there are a LOT!!!!! : )

The cuff links pictured below belonged to Andy’s grandfather and the pocket watch belonged to his great grandfather (and is a Hamilton watch from 1896!!)
