Mike and Meghan are some of our closest, dearest friends. We met them both in college but it really wasn’t until after college and after Caleb and I got married that we really started getting to know these two better. They have quickly become like family to us — a couple that we can trust with our lives, our hearts, and our biggest struggles. Mike and Meghan have prayed for us, walked through really tough seasons and experiences with us, and have also just shared a lot of fun game nights with us. They have the BEST back porch with garden lights for summertime game nights (with a side of Chipotle and beer, of course!).

Mike and Meghan are one of those couples that we feel like we can be completely, 100% ourselves around. Since being truly authentic is something I am seeking to live out in my life, they are great people to have around ; ) They are down-to-earth, quirky, music lovers/musicians (finally someone Caleb can bond with in a way I just can’t!) and just really mature in their relationship. I really value the way they respect and communicate with one another. They aren’t seeking to impress others but rather to live a life that is full of love, curiosity, compassion, and adventure. Meghan is extroverted, an amazing cook, a go-getter, and just super honest (love this the most about her). Mike is wise, humble, so funny, and kind. They really do make such an amazing team and I’ll say it again, we are SO grateful to do life alongside them. Love you guys!!!!

Just over a year ago, Mike and Meghan became parents to the sweetest and cutest little girl, Aila. They are amazing parents and another thing I love about them is how becoming parents has so obviously brought them closer together. It is so fun to watch them raise Aila and to witness the love and joy that just OVERFLOWS from them for their little girl : )

A couple of months ago, Mike and Meghan invited us to join them on their first trip away from Aila and we couldn’t say no! So last week, we spent a long weekend in Malibu with Mike and Meghan … relaxing, exploring … with more games and great conversations : ) We were honored to capture this very special Anniversary Session for our dear friends, celebrating seven years of marriage for them in May!
