When you’ve photographed a couple four times, you start to wonder … what did I write for their last post? Am I repeating myself? Maybe this is just me! Ben and Kalli are some of our dear friends and the fact that they choose us to document their marriage year after year is SUCH an honor. I mean that and I don’t take it lightly! It’s why I want their session to be perfect and their post to be perfect … but we all know perfection isn’t really an achievable or desirable goal. These two know it well and so I’m just going to write from the heart and not care if I repeat myself!

Ben and Kalli have never ran after perfectionism. They are authentic friends and have a marriage that isn’t perfect but that is committed and honest and so, SO deep. As close as you actually can get to a perfect marriage, I would say they have it. They are so fiercely and wildly in love and this is one of the (many) reasons I love photographing them. It’s easy and fun and so unique to be able to capture. Kalli has always said that she doesn’t care where or when or even really what they’re wearing for their annual anniversary session, she just wants to document that they chose each other another year. The session is a time for them to reflect back on the mountains and valleys of the past year and in the midst of a busy life, a time to simply connect and be together. And while yes, I am there literally taking photos of them, I love that they really do use it as a time to connect and just BE with one another.

Ben and Kalli, just so thankful for your friendship (and I hope by now you know that!). You guys have been such a blessing to us in SO MANY ways and we truly thank God that the wedding industry brought us together. Thanks for inspiring us and those around you with your powerful, beautiful love. To another AMAZING year ahead : ) We love you!!!!!
