Tanner & Amy | An Intimate Wedding Celebration at The Wisconsin State Capitol and Park Hotel in Madison, Wisconsin.

Welcome to a post sharing a wedding day that was equal parts intimate, beautiful, and heartfelt. Tanner and Amy’s celebration this past weekend left us feeling so thankful to do what we do — photograph incredible moments and celebrate the commitment of marriage. Tanner and Amy, thank you for sharing your incredible day with us!

We began the day with Amy and a couple of her girlfriends at the Park Hotel in downtown Madison. It was such a calm morning as the girls told stories, sipped champagne, and got Amy into her (absolutely stunning) Oscar de la Renta gown. At their engagement session, Amy showed me a picture of her gown and I was just dying to see it in person! It was the perfect choice for her and she looked just gorgeous. From her hair down to her Christian Louboutin heels, she took my breath away (and Tanner’s, too!).

The couple had their first look at the Wisconsin State Capitol a few minutes before their intimate ceremony of their dearest family and friends began. They both cried and we were let in to the love these two share — only it was just the beginning.

Tanner and Amy both wrote personal vows to one another which comprised the majority of their ceremony, just as they wanted it. The vows were so sincere, so intentionally written and meant … not a single word written to just fill space. There were lots of tears shared not only between them but everyone privileged to witness the ceremony. These two both shared how they didn’t know a love like this could exist … but it does, and will continue : )

We followed with photos and goodness, I just could have photographed Tanner and Amy all day! Their joy, set in the Capitol as a backdrop and coupled with how handsome of a duo they are, made our job so easy! After we finished photos, we headed across the street back to the Park Hotel to greet their guests at the reception.

Tanner’s welcome toast brought me to tears as he shared once again how thankful he was to have found Amy. He is so charismatic and sincere … well, they both are to be honest! They wanted their guests to have the best time and they sure know how to throw a party! Amy surprised Tanner with a dress change before their first dance; a blush gown from one of her favorites, Amy Kuschel.

It was hard to choose favorites from the day but here they are! A&T — we just love you two : ) Hope you’re having the best time in Kauai! ENJOY! <3
