Nick & Shellady | A Downtown Wedding Celebration at The Hyatt Regency and KI Convention Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

October 29, 2018

Where to begin with these two!? As a couple, we haven’t actually known them for that long but it’s beautiful how it can feel like you have — so familiar — when you’ve known one person in the pair for quite a long time! Being given the opportunity to document Shellady marry the man of her dreams was such a special experience for me and I am so grateful for it! She is a ray of sunshine, truly a bright light that will illuminate an entire room and paired with Nick who is funny, charismatic, and super sentimental … they are a match made in heaven!

Since I grew up with Shellady and her family, I knew a lot of people involved in her and Nick’s day! Walking in on the morning of the wedding was such a blast, seeing so many familiar faces and getting so many hugs! The bridesmaids were full of laughter and sharing stories as they got ready together at The Hyatt Regency. The moment Shellady got into her dress, the waterworks started from her mom and sisters : ) It is so special to be a part of these moments and I don’t take it lightly! Then, when Shellady’s dad saw here, cue all the tears and all the pride and joy : ) It was the most beautiful start to such an amazing day!

As we headed out for the first look, we couldn’t help but happily discuss how PERFECT the weather was! Calm, slightly overcast, and mid 50’s — Shellady’s perfect temp! Her and Nick saw each other for the first time on the City Deck in downtown Green Bay, right on the water! The lighting was amazing, Shellady looked gorgeous, the floral by Buds n’ Bloom was extraordinary per usual and these two were through-the-roof-excited to finally be marrying each other!! Later, when their bridal party joined us, we popped champagne and toasted to the (almost) Mr. and Mrs.!!

During their ceremony, Nick and Shellady shared the most beautiful personal vows to one another and as you will soon see in the photos, amidst laughter there was LOTS of happy tears! They both talked about how the other is truly their perfect compliment and makes them a better person. 400 (!!!!) guests witnessed their union and the celebration was full of beautiful energy and emotion, just as I imagined it would be : )

The night ended with an Old Fashioned and Bubbly bar, some of the most amazing cake I have ever tasted (Whisk & Arrow — YUM!!!), and a full dance floor as Push the Limit partied the night away. Nick & Shell, I think I can speak for all of your friends and family when we say, THANK YOU for not only sharing your day with us but your LOVE. You both have so much of it and you give it so generously. We are SO happy for the two of you and cannot wait to continue watching your story unfold! So much love to you both!!!
