The session on the blog today just brings me SO much JOY! I honestly had a blast with Maverick and Serena during their session last week and I really think their vibe and presence comes through in these images which I love. They are both just full of this easy-going, spirited peace and happiness … really amazing to be around : ) And they are obviously SO giddy in-love with each other that you can’t help but feel SO excited for them to be getting married! Serena shared with me that they were first friends and now are BEST friends which became so obvious to me as I spent time with them. They encourage one another, feel free to be themselves in front of one another, and have so much fun together! And then I just got to photograph that all!

We met for their session at Token Creek County Park in DeForest, Wisconsin. We’ve only shot here one other time but I think it might be safe for me to say now that I am totally obsessed with this location! There are endless beautiful spots to shoot! One of Maverick and Serena’s favorite spots in the world is at Maverick’s family cabin up north in Wisconsin and so for their engagement photos, they wanted to do a little nod to the Northwoods if at all possible for the location and I think we got it! The cherry on top of it all was the most dreamy light when we first started and then again as we ended the session at dusk!

In less than one month, these two become husband and wife! I’m so thankful that I got to meet and photograph them before the big day … but goodness, it got me just that much more excited FOR their wedding celebration! I have no doubt it will be just beautiful – from the intention and sentiment to all the details they are planning!
