The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art (MMoCA) is an exceptional venue to host your wedding or rehearsal dinner. We love this space for many reasons but to name a few: its rooftop views of the Wisconsin State Capitol and bustling State Street from the garden terrace, exquisite cuisine from Fresco (the museum’s in-house restaurant), and the the jaw-dropping glass staircase in the main lobby.
The space is incredibly versatile and could host celebrations with almost any style and aesthetic. With floor-to-ceiling windows, the light is truly breathtaking for photos. And finally, to mention the rooftop terrace one more time – it can’t be beat! Fresh air, sunshine, and incredible views are the cherry on top of an already remarkable venue. MMoCA, we love you!
We will let the MMoCA team do the rest of the explaining, with photos from weddings we have photographed there to follow — so enjoy! : )
A MMoCA Wedding
“Say ‘I Do’ to bird’s eye views of State Street, colorful garden beds, and large-scale outdoor sculptures lit by starlight. MMoCA’s rooftop Sculpture Garden combines the rustic feel of an outdoor wedding with chic downtown sophistication. The museum is a stylish, one-of-a-kind venue for a one-of-a-kind day, located in the heart of downtown, just blocks from the Capitol.
Fresco, the museum’s rooftop restaurant, takes pride in serving creative small bites, small-plate buffets, and plated meals that are artfully prepared (and taste delicious). MMoCA and Fresco’s event staff are specialists in all things wedding, and happy to help make the most of your special day, taking the lead in set-up, transitions, clean-up, and other logistics so you can kick back and celebrate with your guests.”
