How are we already to the point in the year where I am doing our annual “Year in Review” blog posts?! I can hardly believe December is already halfway over. Wild.
WHAT A YEAR.
Our end-of-the-year posts are going to look a bit different this year than previous years! Frankly, they are going to be a lot smaller than normal! The reality of 2020 for us was that we shot A LOT less weddings and engagements than previous years. Of the 15 weddings we had scheduled for this year, 10 postponed to next year in some capacity. And many couples who are newly getting married next year are also waiting to do their engagement sessions next year for a variety of reasons (COVID, inability to travel, and later-in-the-year bookings means wanting to wait until spring or summer when the weather is warmer to do their session!). What we did shoot a lot MORE of this year was family sessions! Maybe I will need to consider doing a “Year in Review: 2020 Families” post this year! We’ll see : )
I’m so thankful for each of the couples in this post today. A majority of them are getting married next year and the hope of their weddings has been such a light in our year. We are so excited to celebrate with each one of them as they become husband and wife, no matter what that looks like!
Amidst a rather dark year, love brings so much light.
As we conclude our 8th wedding season and get ready to enter the slow season, I am once again filled with immense gratitude. I’ve said this so many times this year, but the thankfulness for those who support our business has never felt greater. Stay tuned in the upcoming weeks for our “weddings” and “behind-the-scenes” year-end posts! Lastly, to conclude, thank you once again for being here. We love you <3
