From quite literally the moment I met these two, I felt like I had known them for much longer I actually do. Both David and Laura have this welcoming presence and charisma that makes you feel incredibly comfortable and connected with them whether you’ve known them for years … or hours! Plus, they are FUN! We had such a great time at their session, full of so much laughter, sentiment, and BEAUTY — just wait!
David and Laura both grew up in Rockford and actually first met in high school choir. It would be many years later (and lots of life lived including job changes, big moves, etc.) though, before they would reconnect back where their story first began. This time around, they were two changed individuals but still with a connection that couldn’t be shaken. A friendship quickly turned love story and six years later, David & Laura are now planning their wedding : )
I met these two in Lake Geneva, where Laura has spent nearly every summer of her life (and the same is now true for the both of them, together) on the water at her parent’s lake home. It is the same charming Wisconsin town that Laura’s mom grew up in, and where her grandparents met MANY years ago. Of course, it was a must to do photos outside the iconic Riviera Ballroom where her grandparents first met at a dance, and where David asked Laura to be his wife this past summer.
I am so thrilled, and thankful(!), that these two chose us to capture their love story and upcoming wedding day. We are truly the luckiest to get to know such wonderful people … David & Laura being no exception. We cannot wait for their wedding at The Treasury in Delavan next June but until then, enjoy some of my favorites from their session! CHEERS, you two!!
