What a JOY it is to be sharing Stephen & Abby’s engagement session today on the blog; I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with these two in this very special season of their lives. From the moment I met Stephen & Abby, it was obvious how truly kind, humble, and down-to-earth these two are. They have this warmth that would make anyone feel safe in their presence. On top of it all, their love for one another radiates from them, and has this way of making you feel so thankful they found one another and that being in their orbit means you get to experience it.
Stephen & Abby met through a mutual friend during their undergrad at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As they got to know one another better, they each found themselves wanting to spend more and more time with the other person. COVID had other plans, however, as shortly after they met they found themselves being sent home from campus — him to Central Wisconsin and her to California — to finish out the school year remotely.
Distance certainly made the heart grow fonder for these two : ) Their mutual respect, admiration, and love only continued to grow and Abby felt her heart calling her from the West Coast to the Midwest, with no plans to ever leave this place (and the person) she now calls “home.” After an incredibly thoughtful proposal including both of their families last winter, it was sealed that these two are, in fact, a match made in heaven and will now get to spend the rest of their lives together.
We cannot wait for their wedding day one year from now (!), but until then, enjoy some favorites from their romantic springtime engagement session at Olin Park here in Madison : )

What a beautiful engagement session and love story! Stephen and Abby are such a radiant couple, and their joy for one another is palpable in every photo.
As a wedding photographer from Coimbatore, I’m always delighted to see couples who wear their love so warmly on their sleeves. The way you’ve captured the tenderness between them against the lush springtime backdrop of Olin Park is just stunning.
Engagement sessions are such a special opportunity to celebrate this exciting new chapter before the whirlwind of wedding planning kicks in. You’ve done an amazing job telling the story of how Stephen and Abby’s romance blossomed despite the challenges of being separated during COVID. Their resilience and the fact that distance only strengthened their bond makes their commitment all the more inspiring.
I can only imagine how magical their wedding day is going to be next year! Wishing them a lifetime of happiness together. Looking forward to seeing more of your breathtaking work showcasing beautiful Milwaukee couples.
