Happy 2024 Wedding Season! Trevor & Rachel’s rainy spring wedding celebration at The Eloise in Mount Horeb kicks off this year’s season and we are so very thankful that 2024 began with these two. As you can probably imagine, being a wedding photographer is what some would deem a “high stress” job. There is GREAT significance and reward in what we do, but there is also a lot of pressure! Couples like Trevor and Rachel are such a gift — truly kind, down-to-earth, flexible, and fully present with what’s before them with open arms and gratitude. I left their wedding day feeling so thankful for the space these two hold in the world, and in our lives!

On the morning of their wedding, Rachel walked into the Eloise and greeted me with a gigantic hug and the biggest smile on her face. I immediately knew that no matter what the day brought, it was going to be amazing. She was filled to the brim with joy and excitement, and surrounded by some of the best friends (and family!) a person could ask for. To top it all off, Rachel shared a couple of incredibly powerful moments with her dad that literally had me in tears behind my camera. She exudes loving kindness and it was no surprise that she is in relationship with so many who do the same!

When Trevor saw Rachel for the first time on their day, coming down the aisle with her dad, his eyes filled with tears and the love on his face spoke a thousand words. Once finally together, these two couldn’t stop stealing glances, hand squeezes, and smiles. At the reception, both the Best Man and Maid of Honor shared how they couldn’t imagine a better life partner for their friend/sister. One of my favorite parts of the wedding day is listening to these toasts and Trevor & Rachel’s celebration was no exception; these two are deeply cherished and held in the highest regard by those who are closest to them.
