David & Laura | An Intimate Wedding Celebration at The Treasury in Delavan, Wisconsin.

As I was photographing Laura’s bridal portraits before the ceremony began, there was this moment where I had to pause what I was doing. I looked at her and said, “This feels like an editorial shoot for a bridal magazine!” We’ve had the privilege of photographing a few of these before and while they are incredibly fun to bring together a collaborative vendor team and dream creatively, people have mixed emotions about them because they don’t produce “real” wedding images; the bride is a model, the lighting is perfect, the setting is ideal, etc.

As I was taking portraits of Laura … the bride (isn’t formally) but looks like a model, the lighting was perfect, the setting ideal … can you see why I made the comment I did?!? On top of all the aesthetic beauty before my eyes, the icing on the cake was the vibe of the environment I found myself in. There was upbeat music playing in the background, fresh flowers had just been brought into the venue and, despite the rain outside the windows, everyone was in such good spirits! I had no doubt it was going to be an incredible day!

David & Laura had an intimate wedding with their closest family and friends, choosing The Treasury in Delavan as the perfect setting for the celebration. They had shared with me how they looked and looked for just the right spot and once they walked into The Treasury, they knew it was the one. In my opinion, they could not have made a better decision! It was cozy, romantic, and timeless.

They chose not to do a first look the morning of their wedding, having the first time they saw each other be as Laura was walking down the aisle with her dad. It was one that brought tears to David’s eyes which, to be honest, I had no doubt was going to happen! The way that David so deeply and tenderly loves Laura is really quite extraordinary. They truly are perfect complements to one another.

I feel so fortunate to have gotten to know these two better over the past year. They have made me feel loved and comfortable beyond measure in their presence. I’m SO excited to share some of my favorite moments and details from their beautiful day so without further adieu, please meet the brand new Mr. & Mrs. David Pearson!!
