I am SO excited to introduce you to Jonathan and Maddie today! When I look at the photos of these two and reflect back on the time I’ve gotten to share with them so far, I am filled with gratitude. They exude this kindness and zest for life that is truly contagious. I remember calling Caleb on the way home from their engagement session and telling him, “They might be one of the kindest couples I’ve ever met! Their love felt so pure and genuine.” Each time they would look at each other, or snuggle in for a hug, they would both close their eyes … and start giggling … and it felt as if their happiest and safest place was in one another’s arms.
We began our time together at Period Garden Park in downtown Madison, which is one of my all-time favorite spots to shoot in the city! Both Jonathan and Maddie looked lovely in their summer tones … that just so happened to perfectly match the flowers throughout the garden! It all felt so magical and romantic, almost too good to be true at times!
After Period Garden Park, we headed to another favorite spot on the water, Tenney Park! Here, Maddie wore a stunning red Reformation dress that not only looked incredible on her, but also in the location! I learned that red is a lucky color in Asian culture so though it was not necessarily a “traditional” choice, she felt it was the right one! I couldn’t agree more!
We were a bit taunted with sprinkles and impending rain the entire evening, but Mother Nature held off just in time for us to complete such a lovely and sweet evening for these two. I am thrilled to share their photos with you, and so thankful for the opportunity to continue to document their love in the coming year!
J&M, you two are SUCH a gift : )
