I don’t get to shoot many outdoor sessions this time of year, so what a treat it is to share Jake & Grace with you on the blog today! We had such a beautiful time together for their winter engagement session this past weekend and, needless to say, I cannot wait to celebrate alongside them and document their wedding day this coming July at St. James 1868 in Milwaukee!
Jake and Grace met while attending a small and beloved liberal arts college in Iowa. They fell very quickly in love, and Jake proposed to Grace this past November while she was visiting his family in his hometown. While Grace thought they were going to church before celebrating Thanksgiving with Jake’s family, he had other plans in store for the night! She was COMPLETELY surprised when she found herself walking a candlelit path to a beautiful gazebo, where Jake got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She happily, and easily, said “yes!!!” to spending the rest of her life with him : ) They truly are a match made in Heaven.
After being in their presence for just a couple of hours, there is no doubt of the love and admiration Jake and Grace share for one another. They could not stop smiling, laughing, hugging … it certainly made my job easy! We had so much fun getting to know one another better, listening to Justin Bieber, and trying to stay as warm as possible in March in Wisconsin ; )
More to come of these two so soon — July will be here before we know it!!
