Saturday was SUCH a beautiful wedding day. Yes, the weather was absolutely amazing — one of those absolutely perfect Wisconsin summer days where all the stars align to make a magical day … upper 70’s, the slightest breeze, and lots of sunshine!! Elizabeth was beautiful in her gown and cathedral veil, truly such a stunning bride from the INSIDE out! The bridesmaids, the locations for pictures, the church … everything was just so, so beautiful.

But what I love — what stands out the most to me about John and Elizabeth’s day — was the ceremony. This couple shares a very strong faith and their ceremony was absolutely central to their day. They got married at The Church of Gesu on Marquette’s campus (where they met!) and where they have attended many, many masses together. Before the ceremony, right after the first look, John and Elizabeth spent time praying together and it was an incredible moment to be able to capture. The Father who married them is a family friend of John’s family which made the Homily extra personal and intentional. John and Elizabeth shared SO many sweet looks and hand squeezes throughout the mass and you could just tell they were SO excited about the commitment they were making to one another and to God. I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of such a special experience in their relationship!!!

After the ceremony, John and Elizabeth were both just RADIATING with joy : ) I wouldn’t even say anything to them and I would look over and John would be twirling Elizabeth around and they would both be laughing. You couldn’t contain their joy if you tried. Needless to say, they made the photography thing really easy for us ; ) We got so many amazing photos that I just can’t wait to share with you!

John and Elizabeth — thank you SO MUCH for choosing Caleb and I to document your life-changing day. We were honored to not only capture your moments but also to witness them. We are SO excited for all that God has planned for your married and can’t wait to see how He is going to use you in the lives of those around you!
