This past weekend we went up to my hometown to visit my family … for the first time in three months! What a weird time we are living in. One week after we got E was my Grandfather’s funeral, so she got to meet my immediate and extended family on my dad’s side then. But a day or two after the funeral, it was released that everyone should start quarantining because COVID-19 was a lot more serious than we originally understood it to be. Needless to say, we hadn’t visited since then and E has changed so much! It was fun to get to bring her to one of my favorite places on earth and have her spend a little more time with my family. She absolutely LOVED the boat and being on the water! My kind of girl : ) It’s looking like she might be leaving us pretty soon, so I’m glad they got to spend that time with her.
We had a very relaxing weekend which is exactly what we needed : ) We ate a lot of great food (my mom is an amazing cook and spoils us every time we visit them!), made one too many stops to the local ice cream shop, played board games every night, and spent a lot of time on the water. Things are now going to start getting busier with the business as we head into summer. While we only have a handful of weddings this year, our calendar is filling with family, maternity, and engagement sessions! It feels SO great to begin working again and I am very, VERY thankful for the opportunity.
One final thing we got to celebrate this past weekend was my sister’s boyfriend’s recent graduation from college … and his brand new job as a sports news broadcaster! What an accomplishment to get a job in his desired career so shortly after graduation. We are beyond excited for him : ) We commemorated this season in his life with a few headshots for him, photos of him and his parents, as well as some of him and my sister!
I hope everyone is having & continues to have a BEAUTIFUL week! xx.
