Jonathan & Martha have known each other since they were 10 years old! While their relationship at age 10 wasn’t one that was super close, I still think that is just so crazy! They started dating their senior year of high school and have pretty much been together ever since. Needless to say, these two are the best of friends and share a love that is already so deep.
Jonathan proposed to Martha while traveling with her family in Greece. They decided to take some alone time and go for a drink together, just the two of them. It was sunset and they found a beautiful spot overlooking the ocean … so romantic and unforgettable! Jonathan asked Martha to spend the rest of her life with him and she said yes : ) They then got to spend the rest of the trip celebrating with her family which I think is extremely special.
For their engagement session, we met Jonathan and Martha at Tenney Park in downtown Madison. They live really close to this beautiful park and love to spend time here by the water or going for a run or a walk. At their session, we learned that they both love to travel, are very driven and successful individuals, and have a super soft spot in their hearts for their beloved cat : ) Jonathan and Martha were both SO easy to talk to and we truly had such a fun, comfortable evening getting to know them … and snapping a few photos along the way!
Next year these two will be getting married at one of my all-time-favorite venues, The Madison Club right here in downtown Madison. We cannot wait to photograph their day and the beginning of a new season in one already long, beautiful, and seasoned love story! So without further adieu, enjoy some of my favorite photos from Jonathan and Martha’s Tenney Park engagement session!
