Things are really starting to come to a close, and quickly, as we wrap up our *unforgettable* 2021 season. Today I am blogging our last engagement session of the year! There was a time not too long ago where it felt hard to see this point in the season and yet, just like all things in life if we allow it, here we are. We made it through, we learned, and we grew.
Today you get to meet Zack & Kelsey : ) These two are such a special pair. I truly feel SO lucky that we get to work with Zack & Kelsey. I can already tell you that nothing about it feels like “work.” It has been an instant connection with them — who already feel like friends we have known for years, if not longer. We have been blessed by their care, kindness, generosity, and JOY. And gosh, I just feel so grateful.
Zack & Kelsey first met at work. It was purely a friendship with a unique bond over their mutual love for tea. They would swap tea at the office and chit-chat in between. Then Zack got a new job and they were no longer seeing each other every day! It was then that they realized maybe … their connection was something more than just friends. They both missed each other. Since Zack had moved about 30 minutes away, making time to see one another became much more intentional and soon enough, Zack asked Kelsey on their first “official” date to a John Mayer concert. We joked at the session that he set the bar pretty high with such an incredible first date! The rest is history after that night.
Though they now live in Chicago, Kelsey is from Madison so these two will be getting married in our beautiful city next summer! We cannot wait for their celebration at The Overture Center with Midwestern Bride. To have the opportunity to document this day for this couple is a true honor. AND, also, to get to photograph their amazing smiles and Kelsey’s incredible dance moves again : ) ENJOY this one!
