Jon & Madison | An Elegant Fall Wedding at The Edgewater in Madison, Wisconsin.

I can hardly believe that this is one of our last wedding posts of the year. This season has been the busiest of our career and as a result, has absolutely flown by. We have one final wedding in November and one in January before a few months off this winter and spring! All this to say, I am truly so grateful to have concluded the bulk of our busy season with Jon & Madison. Their celebration brought us SO much joy and I cannot wait to share pieces of it with you today!

Jon & Madison have actually known each other for quite a long time, but reconnected a little later in life on one fateful night in downtown Iowa City. They both are extremely brilliant and successful individuals whose lives are now forever intertwined and as they stand, goodness these two are a force to be reckoned with. They are extremely complementary in their giftings and personalities. They are fun yet tender, immensely generous, and live their lives putting their whole heart into everything they do.

Their wedding celebration at The Edgewater Hotel went off without a hitch (it was pretty amazing!), perfectly designed and executed by Backyard Soirée Weddings & Events. It was an unusually warm October day, and Jon & Madison were able to host their ceremony outdoors on the Edgewater plaza. The floral by Daffodil Parker was breathtaking, greeting guests as they walked down the aisle, while the view of Lake Mendota just shined in the background. I loved Jon & Madison’s vows to one another — so full of heart, sincerity, intention. “I love you AND I like you” is the mantra each of them said to the other : )

It was an awesome experience getting to know both Jon & Madison’s family and friends as well … gosh, we just felt so loved all day long. Even though it was a big wedding, the day felt extremely intimate. We are SO happy for you, Szewczyks!
