Jacob & Bethel | A One Year Anniversary Celebration at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center in Bayside, Wisconsin.

HAPPIEST one year of MARRIAGE to Jacob & Bethel! We had the honor of celebrating with these two — and this time, all of their family and friends! — for their first anniversary last weekend at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center on Lake Michigan. Any day I get to spend time with and photograph Jacob & Bethel is a REALLY good day in my book : ) We have loved every minute of getting to know these two … they are some of the kindest people you will ever meet, I swear!

Last year for their intimate ceremony, we navigated rain the entire day. Though at times rain can certainly be challenging, it made for some pretty romantic and magical photos in my opinion (and I know Jacob & Bethel agree with me!). This year, these two got a sunny and 75º fall day! So they really got to experience it all AND get such a wonderful variety in their photos at the Schlitz!

It was SO special to finally get to meet Jacob & Bethel’s “people” this year as we spent the early part of the evening with their bridal party. There was LOTS of laughter, tears, hugs, jokes … it was really special to see how close this group was. During the reception, both the Maid of Honor and Best Man talked about how much Jacob & Bethel value the relationships in their life and not only have I personally experienced that for myself, but I have clearly witnessed it as well. They are both so generous with their love and affection.

I have to admit, I am a bit sad our time with these two has “officially” ended but I am truly grateful to now have them a part of our lives. May we all spread a little more joy like Bethel constantly does with her genuine giggle (and nose scrunch) and like Jacob does with his smile, kind eyes, and tenderness. We love you two — thank you for the impact you have made not only on us, but on this world! CHEERS to MANY more anniversaries to come!
