Matt & Anna | A Fall Wedding at The Berkshire in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

The end of the season has arrived — today I am blogging our last wedding of 2021! Ending the wildest season of our career with Matt & Anna felt like it was truly “meant to be.” Just thinking about these two right now as I’m typing this fills me with this sense of deep joy and yes, I am also smiling from ear to ear as I write that. We connected with Matt & Anna from the moment we met them and have been grateful recipients of their love ever since.

Matt & Anna’s celebration took place in Sheboygan which is where Anna grew up! The girls got ready at her childhood home and I about died looking at all the adorable pictures of baby Anna hanging around the house (she still has those same striking eyes and beautiful dark curls!!). I actually loved seeing ALL the pictures Anna’s parents had hanging around their home. With just one glance at any given photo you are invited into that moment in time and, for Anna’s parents, I imagine you get to relive it a little bit, too : ) The love this family shares is truly something special and if me sharing that I had to internally tell myself, “Stop crying Maison, you need to be able to see for these photos!” during Anna’s dad’s speech doesn’t give you a glimpse of it, I don’t know what does.

After getting ready with the girls, we headed to downtown Sheboygan to meet Matt for the first look at the John Michael Kohler Art Center. I sat by Anna on the shuttle and asked her how she was feeling. “I’m really, really anxious to see Matt,” she replied as big tears welled up in her eyes and then one fell down her cheek. “He just makes me feel really calm.” They are an extraordinary complement to one another. Being in their presence is a gift! And getting to document this day in their story is truly an honor for Caleb & I.

We LOVE you Matt & Anna! You waited 441 days for THIS day and I know it was everything you dreamed of : ) Here’s to the next 441 days …. and then thousands more after that. A toast to you & to your love — this world is a better place with you in it.
